Presentation by NVH Committee of the China Society of Automotive Engineers President, Chengde LI and Wayne State University Distinguished Professor, Sean WU on “The Applications of 3D Holography Technologies in Automotive NVH and Quality Control”

Beijing, 13 May 2008 - On 7-12 May, 2008, STC successfully held a seminar on the latest technology in NVH analysis in Beijing, Chongqing and Shanghai respectively, with co-hosts, the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute and Shanghai SAE.  More than a hundred professionals coming from various companies in the automotive industry attended the seminar.

The presenters, Professors LI and WU introduced the state-of-the-art technology of 3D holography as a possible solution to addressing the weakness of existing NVH analysis methods.  The superior technology offers a spatial visualization of sound generation, enabling users to perform more accurate diagnosis.  The presenters also demonstrated with case studies on vehicle and engine NVH and onsite measurement and analysis in the laboratory.
